Two other similar devices has been announced. One is by none other than the wasabi team. The wasabiDX. The other, I have no idea who is producing, but is called the Flatmod.

lol recalled!?!? good catch, I was expecting them to be out of preorder status tomorrow. I may wait a little while anyhow, my wii is still going and I may as well wait until all these new releases sort out (ie get reviewed in action).

Finally, it's set to ship tomorrow, 2/23 (at least from modchip.ca)

None too soon either, my wii is becoming extremely ornery. It's very loud and 'clicky' and most titles are not working anymore. I got it in December of 2006 and played it quite a bit, so I guess it's put in its time. It has a first-gen wiikey.
