Flashing an Xbox 360 sent back from MS

Friend needed his xbox flashed, but he had the rrod so he got ms to fix it. this console has never been modded. I tried the new iprep v008.8, got as far as to reading and typing in SamOFW.bin, but it said it doesnt exist. How do I solve this?

If its been sent on the journey to Texas its probably got a Lite-on in it.All of mine have come back with new lite-on drives installed.

from what im reading there is still a few v28 dvd drive sitting around in backroom and such.

Need a little more info man. Did you dump the drive first?? Check to make sure that the firmware is there after the dump. You can boot back into windows and look in the backups folder on your iprep device. There should be a folder in the backups folder by the name of the serial number that you used to dump with. Then a folder inside that and finally your original firmware and hacked firmware should be in there.
First thing you have to do is dump the drive with the dsam command. Once it's dumped, and the dump verified, you can flash it with the fsam command.

I got it to work, it couldn't read the drive because it had a "wrong status" but anyway it appears to be my via 6421 sata card as i switch to my onboard nforce card and now everything works. Thanks guys. I have successfully flashed all 4 drives now. =]

Cool. I thought it sounded as if the drive hadn't actually been dumped yet. Glad you got it nixed though.
