hi just been given a psp with 5.2 f/w on it will i be able mod this to do other things on it like play games ect. thanks for any info on this ......

If it's not the newest motherboard, you can use a magic memory stick anda jigkick battery to get the job done.

Actually, thats the region code. 1003 means that it's in or around the Brittan region.
Motherboard version include something like TA-88 V3, this is the newest motherboard that can't be modded as of yet.
At any rate, it won't hurt to try modding it, if it's a TA-88 V3, it just won't boot with the pandora battery is all that would happen.

is it a an older fat or newer slim psp?
