Hi everyone i was just wondering how to get your key off your motherboard, i heard only a handfull of people know how to do this.

It would be great if someone could tell me

You have to have a vulnerable kernel to begin with, then you have to install an infectus chip, bazillion wires to that. Look on infectus.biz for a tutorial on that. If you've updated your console to NXE or have a fairly recent 360, you might as well chalk that up.

Thanks for the help sadalius, I will soon see if the new drive that Ive ordered will do the trick over wise im screwed .

the new drive would not work 100% as you would need the original key from the drive. by simply putting new drive in the console would not work.

Yh i know that but me and sadalius were discussing in my post from yeaterday how to swap drives and why my current drive isnt working and he said it might be a bad key, so when i flash the new drive with the key i got i will see if that works, if not im screwed

To do the stuff you're talking about requires a working DVD drive in the first place, you can't run the king kong exploit without one...

I hate to tell you, but without a good key you've got a DVD player

Yes i know that but the key i have looks great. I was only asking how to get the key from the motherboard just incase it was a bad key.

That's what I'm saying dude, if the key you have isn't good, there is no possible way of getting it from the motherboard...

What drive did the console have in originally?? Is the drive dead? Or have you bought it like this??

in fact i think you can get the dvd drive key from the cpu if you do a timing attack on your console.
but
there is a lot of if/but/or in that.
there are only a few people that can do the timing attack and i dont know any that will do it for someone

The original drive was a Samsung ms25 drive so i bought a new ms25 and that did not work either so i'm assuming its a bad key.

you would have to swap the pcb board or the key in the firmware for it to work

I think a timing attack would be a no no for me,
ill wait a while and see what people come up with,
plus i probably couldn't find anyone to do this for me anyways

Ohh yh i know that lol,
When i put a original game in it said PLAY DVD, this was before hacking the drive,
After i installed a new drive today along with the key i found in the original firmware from the old drive, it still gave me the PLAY DVD on the screen,
I also flashed the new drive with hacked firmware.
