Iprep 008.8 floppy issue 'insufficient disk space'

Post by trance »

hello, ok, i tried flashing [from 1.4-1.5] my benq tonight using a floppy, i prepared the floppy with iprep v8.8 . everything went according to plan, i managed to dump my drive. booted back into windows and checked my key with firmware toolbox, all was good until i tried to flash the drive.
after it resends mtk i get a 'insufficient disk space' message . regardless i typed in bencfw.bin and got a 'no such file' message. i tried a few times , then i used a new floppy but still no luck. i even done the whole process again dump/flash again without booting back into windows, still no luck  i think my floppy has 252 k left on it ?
i have previously flashed my benq to 1.4 using iprep/floppy in march last year no such probs :D
guys point me in the right direction please, i gonna try again later today

thank you. top class website :D

that means that firmtool did not run and build your hacked firmware (litcfw.bin)
it can take 2 or 3 min or more for firmtool to start and build your hack firmware on a floppy

Rebuild your floppy with iprep again, but this time only load the benq firmware. Do not load all three firmware files or you will not have enough disk space to carry out the flashing operation.

Try deleting anything that doesn't have to do with flashing benq's off the floppy as well. Things like dsam.bat, fsam.bat, dlit.bat and flit.bat. Those are small files, but it might make a difference. Just don't delete anything that would keep your floppy from booting up or from dumping/flashing your benq.

i dont have those files on my floppy i only loaded the benq firmware, i used the new iprep so i didn't need to load all 3 firmwares [from what i read], the following is what i have on my floppy after dumping;

backups
cfw
autoexec
dben
dosflash
dosflash.typ
fben
firmtool

i might get access to a different pc tonight which supports usb boot. but i recall having problems with this pc when i tried flashing to 1.4, the pc wouldn't talk to my xbox, total noob question but should i disconnect all sata ports (which ones in particular? dvd drive?, hd? any other?)

once again thanks for the replys i appreciate it :D

no
that is old and for the 8.6

you should be using 8.8 iprep

after you build your iprep boot flash and power down
yes
you should unplug all the drives that are in your computer.
firmtool will not run if there is another sata drive hooked up.

you can do it with out unhooking the ide drives but it can/will give you trouble when it comes to the resend of mtk
like it does with me in the video.
