IPREP V8.8 extraction uncertainties ?

Hello everyone,

The forums look really cool.

I would like a little advice please on the latest iprep v8.8
If I was too use this app to extract my key and relevant other info from my liteon drive , will it extract the correct
info as I`am a bit worried about the serial extraction info on the liteon is correct and ok ?
I have read threads about certain apps not extracting the full info from the liteon , so as to make them vunerable
on live, is this the case if I was too use iprep ?
Should I also uninstall my via drivers and remove my via pci card ,and just use my onboard sata intel 82801fb/fbm ultra
ata storage controller- 266f, as I have read lots of bad reports on them via cards with litons. ? would this make it safer ?
I know there are always risks involved , but I would like to cut them down to the bear minimum.
I also have vista ultimate as my OS on a dell dimention 8400. I will be powering the liteon via the Conectivity Kit V.2
and using a home probe via this link

with the CK v.2 .I hope I supplied all relevant info ,so you will be able to sum up all.

well if you are going to do it that way
you CAN NOT use iprep
With iprep you have to use a rs232 9 pin com cable.
You will need to use jungle flasher.
yes using jungle you should remove the via card and all drivers that are a part of the card.
(Good luck)there are many that have a lot of trouble with that.

if your lite-on dvd drive lockes up after the erase you will have to fall back on this to recover your dvd drive.

i would tell you to get a ck3 liteor pro and flash it with iprep 8.8
but
that is just me.
at this point i dont like jungle. i think it will be a great program when the bugs are worked out.
