ok here i go again u guys are probably thinkn damn this guy never stops lol well im srry but when i do not understand something and i cant seem to find it anywhere i just ask the pros for help in my book u guys are pros. ok back to subject. well i recently flashed a samsung ms28 thanks 2 help and tutorials that are provided on here.i used iprep and made my bootable usb thumbdrive in my thumb drive i have in the backups folder samcfw &smaofx files which i am assuming is the firmware from my old drive key. my question is can i put the firmware into the new key tht came with the new drive? the new drive i bought has the old pcb in it and is working fine the old drive wasnt good anymore and i wanted to buy another samsung ms28 and put a working key in it for my son. what do i need to do to make it possible if it is at all possible to do. I am srry for any confusion i tried my best to explain myself. Thanks in advance for any help with this topic.

you will need to do a little better.

let me see if i have this right

you have a v28 drive that is bad.You have the "ofw" and "cfw" from that dvd drive.

you have a new dvd drive you want to put in the old console.

if that is the case
isthe new dvd drive the same model as the old.if so then all you have to do is flash the old "cfw" in the new dvd drive and it will be ready to play backups.
if it a different dvd drive than the orig drive then there is a list of stuff that has to happen to get it to work.

its not to hard but has to have the key and the firmware spoofed to report as the orig dvd drive.

i hope i have not lost you in this.

ok hopefully i make more sense this time and sry for any confusion. the old ms28 drive was not working it would not pick anything up, no games no dvds or cds. so wut i did was i flashed the old drive which played no games etc. in case i bricked it cuz im semi-noob. the flash was successful so i opened the old drive and put it in the new ms28 drive that i had purchased and it worked perfectly. so i threw the old one away but i kept the new pcb tht is not flashed or anything. the best way i can describe my question is can i put the old firmware in the new pcb and then flash it with the hacked firmware so that when i get another new ms28 drive i can put that new key that i flashed in there and put it in my sons xbox so that he can also play. i read it over and over but im not 2 sure if it makes any sense im really sry guys im trying the best i can 2 explain myself so that you know what answers to give me. and thanks cofree for responding i appreciate it. im afraid 2 ask anymore questions now

sry i go into other things in my head it sounds right but i understand how there can be confusion i confuse myself sometimes lol.
ok I have one console which had a Samsung ms28 the drive was no good anymore so i purchased a new drive. before my new drive arrived i successfully flashed the old drive. new drive came in i opened it took out the pcb that came with it and put the successfully flashed pcb into new drive and it works perfect. that leaves me with a spare pcb for a ms28 drive. i want to know if its possible that i can put the samofw into itand make it a working pcb? and if it is possible what do i need to successfully do it? Thank you cofree for ur patience with all my confusion i really appreciate it buddy!

i didnt want to put to much at once so here is why... in the bootable disc i made it has the original firmware and the hacked firmware right? what i am wanting to do is to put the original firmware into the spare pcb i have in first and then when all that is successful put in the hacked firmware that way i can buy another ms28 and put that pcb in there yes i kno i will always have an extra pcb.
Example: I have my console which has the new ms28 drive that I recently flashed.
my sons xbox does not have a ms28 it has a hitatchi 47dj that is poorly flashed wont get into details on that as it was not me that flashed it. if i purchase a new samsung ms28 either way i would have to somehow put firmware in it because its never been in an xbox and basically its just a dvd player when its new that is why you need to put in the xbox firmware in it in order for it to play games etc. how can i put the firmware it needs in order to play games? original and hacked FW. hope this makes sense
