The good news, since you got your 4 files, your drive isn't dead. You just need to finish the drive with DOSFlash since it froze up after the erase. If you didn't get to make your hacked firmware yet, go ahead and do so. Then use iprep to make a bootable USB flash drive. Then copy your hacked firmware and paste it into the DOS folder inside the ixtreme 1.5 package. The copy the entire DOS folder onto your USB flash drive. Then boot to it. Once you get to DOS, type in "CD DOS" and hit enter. This will get you into the directory that you need to be in. There is a video in the tutorial section that CoFree put up on recovering a lite-on after a freeze, start following it when it shows using the l-o-eras command. This will get you to where you can flash the drive with your hacked firmware and you don't have to have anything RS232 connected up to do it, just the sata cable.

at this point that is the only way i know of to recover a lite-on after a lock up after the erase.

Make sure to check out CoFree's video on it in the tutorials section. It's currently the only way to do it since it locked up on you after the erase. It's really easy to do.

I copied the litcfw.bin to the root of the usb drive then ran dosflash and followed the command prompts. As saladius said as long as you have the backup files alls not lost. If you're still having problems booting from your usb just follow the post in the earlier thread for booting from an msdos floppy then changing the destination from the A:\ prompt and you're good to go.

As cofree said it should be fine as long as it has said it was ok before.check the key to make sure there are no multipul FF or 00's in it. Fingers crossed as it's too late to create a new one due to it being erased. You're having a nightmare this time but when it's done you'll feel great. :)

I don't know where your from, but if you can't get it figured out, I might be able to help you out, if your from the USA that is.

But you should be alright though, you just have to run l-o-erase till you get the 0x72 status, then run dosflash. It shoudl ask to resend the vendor commands on the port that your lite-on is on, hit y and enter, it should give you a weird status message, then power cycle the drive and it should go to the right status, then choose the port that your lite-on is on, choose erase. Let it go through the erase process. Then run dosflash again, it should do the same thing again with the vendor commands. Choose y and hit enter again, power cycle the drive and it should again go to the right status. This time, hit w for write. It will ask you for the name of the firmware you want to write. Type in the filename of your hacked firmware, remember to type it in exactly how it's spelled, capitolization doesn't matter, but it has to be the right file name. Hit enter and it should flash it up. When it's done, so are you.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D O my gentle jesus that was a swet breaking task lol.....but after all that work and clicking i am finially playin backups on my lite-on....first id like say thanks to everyone for there help and support, there no other forum like this one for there support...and i also didnt exactly use the same method as suggested because of errors i was having but its pritty much the same and i also couldnt watch Cofree's video cause i have to resort to ...wait for it...Dial-up  ...i live in the sticks guys come on lol...anyways what i did was just make a bootable usb in iprep... then put my hacked firmware in the dos folder under my 1.5 firmware then coppied that dos folder in my usb....then shutdown and booted from usb....then i did the l-o-eras and my port numer till i got the FF72 ststus...then i typed msdos and this is where it just gave me a command to type in my ATAPI drive numer...so looking at msdos i found my drive number and typed it in....then it asked me what i wanted to do and when i typer "R" for erase it said that my flash chip or something was unkown so it went back to my main directory....so i just retyped msdos and got back to where it asked me what i wanted to do....so since i had my CFW on my usb i just told it to write and typed in my firmware name and what do ya no it actually worked....so once agin guys thanks for the help and great support
