Success - replacing TS DVD MS28

Hi
I thought I would say a big Thankyou to eveybody involved in producing Iprep and the tutorials and everything that goes with it!
My sons xbox360 dvd packed up a week or so ago, the draw wouldn't open or close. I bought an identical unit and tried replacing the circuit boards but it seems the fault was on the board.
I bought a VIA6421 and a connectivity kit from ebay. I downloaded iprep and a set of firmware and put it all together on my Dell desktop.
I struggled to read the firmware from the original drive, it took several attempts and power cycles but did it in the end. However when I came to write to the new unit, I couldn't get it to work. I kept getting an error message related to the reading of the ports, in the end I unplugged all hard drives and cd / dvd drives form the desktop and tried again and it worked first time. So if anybody is having the same problems, its worth trying this out.
I replaced the firmware from the old drive into the new one unmodified (didn't want to spoof or whatever) and it now works like new!
Once again Big Thanks to Cofree and all involved
Regards
plcman
