that is odd
i would restart your computer and try again
or get it from here
and try it.
im sure the one on xbins is good but who know it could have been a bad download or something.

Might also be worth removing your portio drivers and reinstalling them.

The new JF works great for me. It solved alot of my problems, but other people aren't quite as fortunate as me. I read a post yesterday about a fellow that JF wouldn't run as long as he had portio32 installed. He could un-install it and JF would run. But as soon as he re-installed portio32, it wouldn't so you aren't alone with this problem.
On a side note, I am beta testing Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition and it will run jungleflasher. I haven't tested it to see if if would read or not yet but you can bet your bottom dollar I will just as soon as I get the time too.

Does JungleFlasher need the CK3lite/Pro or equivalent to work?

Jungleflasher should work with any RS232 TTL converter. The CK3 and Maximus 360 Xtractor are some examples of them and are the easiest to use IMHO.

I used JF to flash my BenQ and it worked beautifully, but now I can't read the iXtreme 1.5 fw back with JF. It reads fine with iPrep though.

Solved JF issue. Just like with iPrep you must have the drive half way out, at least with the BenQ. I can now read it and even re-flashed it with the 0800 fw to make my first backup.
