ever since i heard the new avatar update has been crashing xboxs ive been sketchy about going online does anyone know if this problem is real or is it just rumors anyone know where to find out.

well i have many console
and
none have ever had a problem

man im moving this to a better thread for the subject.

its just what ive been reading ive got an older console past waranty dont wana find out the hard way oh and thx cofree your tuts are invaluable

I haven't read of many having problems, you should be fine...

I think if my console RROD as a result of installing the NXE, I would ring them and demand a replacement, regardless of whether it was in warranty or not. I might not get it, but I would certainly play hell up...

they would end up with it one way or the other in my world.
If I knew for sure that update crashed my console and they would not help me.
It would be gut swap time.

Very good point, if they're gonna rip someone off like that, then I'd return the favour...

i gut swapped a 360 for a friend who had his for about ten months, he got rrod, not from the update, just went bad, i flashed it for him and he couldnt afford a new one, my only concern was the serial number or whatever they use to track them with, on the swapped one popping up on live and not matching his original or vice versa, which is why im concerned about getting the update, i dont wanna go through all that crap because of some fault with an update, not that m.s. ever released faulty products or nothing
