when you guys say bricked the drive. . . what exactly do you mean? i was working on a Lite-on drive and after getting the key and the other files i went to flash and it wouldn't find the drive and then i checked the drive and it wouldn't power off and or on. . . does that mean it's a wrap for the drive?

well a brick is a drive that can not be recovered ever.
if your lite-on locked up after your erase then have a look at this.

It's a problem with the VIA sata cards. After hitting the lite-on erase button in jungleflasher, the VIA polls the drive to get Drive ID and manufacturer information. Since the drive is erased, it can't respond. The VIA doesn't know how to handle a no response so the computer locks up till you unmount the drive. Any subsequent mountings of the same drive results in a poll as well, so it locks up again. Best way around that is to use DOS to carry out the flashing.
It's worth noting that not everyone experiences this problem. I don't. Jungle works great for me on my via card. But there is a lot of people that does experience this problem. CoFree was one of them

what he said.
if you have a via chipset i would just use iprep 8.8
if you dont have a via then jungle should be fine.

cool! that all makes sense, only thing is, i was using iPrep when i flashed the drive, it's what i used for previous lite-on flashes, just this time around it locked up on me. . . which is why i didn't think to do the l-o-eras.exe until cofree mentioned it because i figured that only happend with jungle flasher as you just stated. . . ive never used jungle flasher
