Yes, v81 is fine. I would go on and get one as soon as possible. You can always update the fw to v.100 if you want to.

If you read inside the green box on the ebay page it says it's flashed with Kreon v1.0. Yes you will be good to go if you get that drive.

Yes, dumping is done with the drive we have been discussing. You will need a double layer burner to burn the backup. I use the Sony DRU-830A to do all my my burns.
