wmv file to dvd

can anyone tell me how to convert a wmv file to dvd to play on a standalone?

if you have windows XP, you can download windows movie maker here. If you have Vista, it should be built in unless you have vista home basic.

If you want to learn to use movie maker, check here.

Also, I think Nero can do this as well. I know there are a ton of converters out there as well. Check here for a list of them and what they do.

THX FOR REPLY, TRYED THAT SITE BUT COULD NOT PULL DOWN, THE THING IS I HAVE 5 WMV FILES WHICH I WANT TO PUT ON DVD/VCD THE EASIEST WAY

Well, movie maker requires service pack 2 for windows xp. If you've already got sp2, then you should be able to download movie maker through windows update.

Convertx2dvd works for that...Great program..

go on google type in wmv converter and you will get loads of programs to convert your file. you can choose whatever one is free and easy to use.
