if your orig firmware is good then just renam it.
samcfw.bin

and then do the flash like it was a "cfw"
it will flash in your orig that has been renamed.

Not if your original firmware is good. If it is, make a copy of it, zip it, and put it somewhere safe.

I would think so.

1. Copy your ofw to the cfw folder.
2. Rename it samcfw.bin
3. Boot into iPrep and run fSam and follow the onscreen instructions

Just do not forget to copy your original firmware off of the flash drive and keep it somewhere safe (lose that and you're screwed)

GL.

make sure the firmware you are trying to flash is spoofed as a ms28, other wise you'll get the same error.

The reason the drive is not being picked up now, is because it has 1.5 on it, so the drive has to be half open/closed to access the flash now. This can be tricky without a connectivity kit, but there is a method...

It might also be the firmguard that's stopping you. It might be worth trying the 0800 disc to disable this and/or trying the 10 second trick.

In regards to picking the drive up, try running dosflash in auto mode, that can sometimes find a lost drive...

yes, I think that's why you got e66 in the first place...

Have you tried jungle flasher? That displays the properties of the flash chip, which may help in your situation...

I think you can get the 0800 disc from xbins...

Once you have it on disc, just pop it in the 360 drive for roughly 10-15 seconds, then remove it and try your dump/flash
