Straight away I don't think that will work.

I always use a pandora batterie and the magic mem stick ...

after that you can install whatever firmware you want on it.

Anything above 2.8 you need a pandora battery...

For the stick, use Klutsh's PSP Grader. It does the job in a minute :P

lilrevuk is right. Anything 2.8 or above needs pandora.

alright here is the process i am thinking to use, do tell me if theres anything wrong in that before i start.

1. remove the battery, open it up, cut one of the legs as sadalius guide described, put everything back together
2. power on psp without a battery and format the memory stick
3. download klutsh psp grader to create a magic stick
4. insert the hard moded battery and magic stick
5. follow the instructions and choose 3.80 m33 as sadalius guide

is this right or am i missing anything. and also i just updated the psp to 5.03 firmware so i will be coming down from that

That should work as long as your battery is hard modable. Also, I would use the most up to date PSP grader that you can get, it will keep updating m33 to a minimum this way. But yeah, your idea should work!!

all sorted man, got 5.00 m33-6 on it now. i think you should add psp grader 8 on your tutorial because i dont even need to put the battery back to normal. with the magic stick the baterry loads the psp itself. kool thanks for the help
