Installing Backups

A little bored atm, figured I'd throw this one out.
Does installing a properly backed up game:
A. Make it more safe?
B. Make it less safe?
C. Not matter?
I'd be inclined to think it wouldn't affect it. To my knowledge, all security checks are done when the disc initially spools up.
This occurs regardless of the game being installed or not.
C, final answer.

Think of it this way:
Why wouldn't you use a properly backed up game? You run the risk of the game having an error, at that all important part you spent all day to get to.
How bad would that suck if you had a bad backup, and it never saved, and you beat almost the whole game after a full day of hard gaming. Then you quit the game, later to find out all your progress was lost. This would anger my so much I wouldn't pickup the game again haha.

Hmm...
I think you missed the point Haggard.
I was bored. I just made a little "Poll" of sorts. I pretty much answered the question in the op. I had a couple friends ask me about this, so I figured other people might be curious (and everyone likes a straight answer for piece of mind).
Basically just another bit of info to add to the most helpful and well organized modding site out there.
