This info needs to get out!

People need to know there is gonna be problems with new games.
I've included all the info we have found and also forwarded the
info and the rls to the stealth and fw teams.

Basically,
We have security features in the modded fw we use.
these features make sure that the PFI and Video are from Wave 1 or Wave 2
this was done to insure games not burnt right or with the data missing
wouldn't boot and lead to bannings.

When we used the program we all use to check our games we noticed that
MLB 2K9 Had a new pfi and Video A so called 3rd wave.

The only way we could get the game too boot was by rolling back our mod to 1.41 non stealth on a benq

Not too much can be done about this untill we see another new game to see if this is the new way or what
there is question if they <censor>ed up and its just mlb 2k9 like this

Guys this is a big deal

Can we post a list of next release or recent release games so that more of us can try backing up these games? I realize that some of the best minds in the industry are working on it but it never hurts to have a second or 52nd look at things.

That's just it man you don't even want to try that yet until more information surfaces. This is all new and you don't wanna mess with trying to play these on your console until C4eva can adjust the new FW. I would just keep your eyes open for new info. If it happens we will have it here for you to read.

I was just talking about doing a backup with them, not actually playing them. I mean for the most part those of us that understand what HEX is it's pretty easy for us to spot something out of the ordinary especially when both S360 and XBC note it in the log.

One thing here guys you need to keep in mind.
Is this is not just a backup issues.

the hacked firmware in your console will not even play the orig game.

even trying the orig game in a flashed console could be trouble.

that is what we need to keep up with is the games that are released that have the 3rd wave,

so far the only one we know of is.

I'll be sure to let you know if I find out anything. Trust me I don't want anyone's console banned, I believe that you have just as much right to backup your $60 games as you do backing up anything else. I'm pretty sure we'd all rather have a 2 dollar disk destroyed than a 60 dollar one.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. Also has this new video partition - so it looks like they will be doing a lot of the new games this way and we shall now see a wave3 of the video partition security in place.

It's too early to tell and I'm no expert, but assuming future games use this 3rd wave, all that is needed is a minor update to the custom firmware (and a reflash of your drive) in order to accommodate for this.

1.5 for hitachi drives is coming this week, HOWEVER it will NOT make this work. The other drives are all 1.5 at the moment anyway, the hitachi just takes longer.

"Unstealthed" will boot this game, but ONLY because it doesn't do the usual checks (And thus doesn't care that the video data is different). Stealth 1.4 will do the same thing, in order to boot this game you'd need to specifically install UNSTEALTHED 1.4, but that means any unstealthed GAMES you put into the 360 WILL GET YOU DETECTED and banned

well if you backup by hot swap it will not have any stealth files.

This is so BS and means possibly a lot of work ha I always told people that if they didn't go online then there was no need to update.. guess I was wrong on that one since retail games come out in new format and force an upgrade.. I'm no coding genius but doesn't seem to be that hard of a thing to fix.. just a matter of waiting for iextreme 1.6

I was so lookin forward to that game HAWKS and after trying to get my head round doin the Liteon drive (CoFree) DID YOU READ MY LAST REPLY IN THE OTHER THREAD ? - now those game dogs created a 3rd wave blocker - I hope they have to visit a public toilet and catch crabs - just one question will the game play on a BenQ ixtreme 1.4 stealth patched firmware ??

no the only way you can get the orig or backup to play is on 1.4 non-stealth
