USB is not supported in DOS.

You need to connect the your CK3 or Max to the COM port on your PC using an rs232 cable.

here is where you will find you port # in red circle.
Image

that is with iprep 8.8

to do the recover i used iprep 6.2
and the port number is in a little different spot.

you have to make sure you are on the right sata card also or on board
although most cant get onbo to work.

man
you need to be more specific in your post

you mean when you boot on your iprep flash that you made like this video
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=3226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

all you get is FF7f
the computer is not seeing the drive for one reason or another
you may not have the sata cable from your dvd drive pluged in the right sata port.
iprep only list the 1st or primary port.

if your hard drive is plugged in that one you will have to unplug it.

I was able to flash the drive back using the video method you posted in the above post viewtopic.php?f=195&t=3226 but when I put the orginal game dvd in the machine goes to green screen with chinese writing on it.I was able to boot to the dash though what size should my orginal 3 files I dumped be? the identify ,inquiry, key are all 1Kb I have backed up from the dump....

I remember getting a message that the key doesn't look good but I went forward,I screwed myself on that machine I have another I was trying to do also so I guess I learned my lesson

That doesn't sound good to me...

when you load you dummy.bin in JF, does it display a unique key (meaning not all 00000's, 5555555555's FFFFFFF's etc.)??

If those 3 files are 1kb, then the dump hasn't worked properly. Once the drive has been erased, that information has been lost for good...

Sorry to say, but if you don't have your key properly backed up you have a rather nifty looking DVD player... :(

Everytime I try to dump my other drive using a seriel cable in jungle flasher 0.0.26 Beta I get a error message Bad key. I see my drive I see my com port as com 1and I/o port ,So I tryed the usb cable and It will not show up Since I messed up my 1st drive I'm taking things more slower and asking alot questions. Is there anything I can try to get the drive to show up with the usb is there special steps I need to take to get it gone if Im having these issues.

What's this other drive you mention??

Don't try flashing anything til you know your setup is able to get a good dump. Are you using a VIA sata card?? And have you got port IO drivers installed?

Make sure you get JF .43, always try and get the latest version of any program.
