lite on with "bad serial data"...?

I've got flamethrowers drive here (lite on)...

can't seem to get anything from it, always reports back as bad serial data, and aborts the read. I've checked his connections (which were fine) and have even removed them as part of my troubleshooting. I've double (and triple) checked my port and com settings, but still can't read anything from the drive...

It's getting late so I'm gonna try again tomorrow, but does anyone have anything for me in the meantime??

I've seen this a couple times and usually, if I just start over it will eventually pull the serial data. I even flashed my own drive with the serial data missing once before, I didn't know it at the time, but apparently I did. I dumped it three times and it pulled the serial data on the third go round, so maybe I didn't flash it without the serial data after all. But the point is, it took three times to get it properly.

fraid not, I've sent the drive back...

You should have it by now, if not it will be monday. Couldn't get any further than flamethrower. It's a strange one, that's for sure...
