Xbox LIVE. Where is the risk?

What I mean by this is............
At what point are you at risk of getting banned?
1.While playing a game online with friends?
2.While playing just the game, but signed profile into Xbox LIVE?
3.By playing it on your console in any way, shape, form, or fashion?
Thanks for the replies in advance...........

pretty much once you're connected to xbox live you run the risk of getting banned, if you never connect you're 360 to xbox live then theres no way they can detect the mod. . . it's not %100 but just make sure your back ups are good and that you check em.

yea what he said:
Stay current with the latest iXtreme Firmware
Backup all of your original games
Stealth check
and even though you have done all of this, there is still a possibility...its not 100%

well man
no one will tell you 100% that you will/will not get banned.
if you dump all your backups from a in hand orig with a sh-d162c (or like drive with kreon firmware) or a samsung or benq with 0800 firmware
it will dump all the stealth files you need to have the best chances of NOT getting banned.
From what we can tell the console will log the fact that it has played a bad game. Then the next time that console gets on live it will report that fact and the console will be banned.
Like i said
We have had good luck here with our members not getting banned.
but
There is one thing that most (if not all) of us dont do is play downloaded games.
That is where ,in my opinion most of the trouble comes from.
I have many flashed consoles and play on live a great deal and have not had any trouble.
Like i said though that does not mean we are untouchable.

I wonder if M$ pays people to browse the internet and download games, then they ban anyone playing the same game.
Would be kind of cool, but I guess it would cause alot of problems if people ripped rented games, and then returned them. Then other people without modded xbox's who rent the same game get banned for playing it.

Oh that would suck big time. That would be a huge M$ mess.
They wouldn't enjoy that at all.............

well
i believe that M$ does that very thing.
They release a torrent file of a 360 game iso
that has some "tag" in it that they will see.
and they know that it is playing on a modded console.
then bag your banned.
that is the way i would do it.

There seemed to be a lot of people banned by using the allstars rip of Saints Row a bit ago so it would seem to make sense. As stated only play games which you have backed up from originals and avoid downloaded iso's.

I agree with CoFree. If they put out iso's that people could download that were flagged, that would be the best way that I could think of to catch people up. Just one reason why I do not download my games.

Makes more sense then my theory haha.
I have 2 xbox's I want to mod, one I will play online with and I think the other, I will use to rip games, and to play downloaded games before theyre released.

Is there any word on if a xbox is flashed but using the oringinal disc in the drive, still runs the risk? I keep hearing that its the disc not the drive they look at? Am I wrong
I want to flash mine but still want to play online for the great multiplayer games ex COD, GOW, and will be willing to pay for those to play online.

I thought we all buy our games..
Anyways, nothing is 100% for the games and as well for the firmware. Your best chance of not being banned is staying current with firmware and backup your original games.
