Hey, I just got the VIA card, and now I'm trying to dump the key.
I'm using iPrep 8.8 and I keep getting Geremia's Method failed or something like that. Any help? Thanks.

are you using the probe or did you solder the 707 points?

1.5, and yes the indicator turns green. I've watched the video several times. I've flashed BenQ drives, but the LiteOn is the one giving me problems. Jungleflasher does not detect my drive. I'll try another computer. After I get off work. But If you have any suggestions, it would really help.

i would say make sure you're doing the drive preparation stuff correct, the open tray, power off, push in half way but push in a little more than half way as CoFree does it and then power it back on. . .

I'm doing everything fine, but it still does not work.

That generally means that something isn't setup right. It could be anything from the chipset that you're using to any of the components in the line from the drive to JF. I would start from scratch. Memorize the tutorial and then do it.

I have done everything correctly step by step. I don't know what could be wrong.

ight cool, have you checked the com port, that's what actually reads the drive so maybe you're not using the right one? matter of fact, can you give us a rundown of what you do, step by step. . . ?

I got everything working. I managed to dump the key using Jungleflasher. Got it to read the drive. Then I tried to erase, but it froze, so I used the dosflash/l-o-eras method and everything works fine now. THANKS everyone for helping me out.

iPrep would always give me Geremia's DVDKey method failed or invalid DVDKey wherever I try to plug in the SATA port. Ack! I just flashed with 1.5, and now 1.51 is out...
