Buying a new 360, what to look for?

Wasn't quite sure where to post this and looked around for any info on this site about it as well. So feel free to move this or point me in the right direction.

Anyway, my 360 has died for the 5th time and I'm tired of fixing it and I think its beyond repair this time anyway. I have been playing on a TSH-943A. When I go to buy a new 360 I don't want to end up with one I can't flash. Is there any serial numbers I should look for on the 360s for one that will have a drive that is easily flashed. I had no problems flashing a toshiba and a benq on an elite for a friend.

Also I'm hoping I can find an arcade so I can save some cash. Either way though whatever is best to go and if anyone can give me information on how to find a 360 in stores such as gamestop or walmart etc would be great.

Thank you in advance!

They're all flashable, it's just to which degree do you want to go to flash the drive. Most of the new systems are coming with the infamous lite-on drive. But with the release of iXtreme 1.51 and 1.6 on the horizon these drives are easier than ever to flash. Plus Commodore4eva has talked about a new Jungle Flasher in the works as well. Yet another great program to assist us in getting the most out of our consoles. All of the tutorials are here. If you have any more questions, myself and all the guys here would be happy to help.

Cool thanks, my main reason for asking is because of all the drives I've flashed I could never get a friends hitachi 79 to flash. But I'll check out that link, thanks for the quick reply!

the V79's are definitely a pain, but for the most part the new drives are all lite-ons
