i am going to be flashing a lite on with the probe and ck3 i have done it using your vid tut and i can do it the same as before but now instead of using 1.5 i would use 1.5.1(i already replaced the idex file in resources)? It all works the same in reguards to dumping(reading) it and then flashing it has anyone tested this? or should i just use jungle flasher?

Thats a damn good question. From what I understand the new jungle flasher is supposed to have better support for the lite-on with VIA. I've always used JF without the VIA card. If nothing else then you can use iPrep like you said with the new .xml file. Again with the probe. I, honestly, would try the new JF first.

im hearing that jungle is locking up on computers that it used to work fine on.
im still thinking i will be using iprep
for all my flashing

can you flash a lite-on to use 1.5.1 with iPrep 8.8?

There seems to be a problem with iprep and the 1.51 with Liteons so no at this moment in time.

is this being worked on?

I really love Iprep!
I would be heart broken to use JF, which i have nothing but problems with...

Yeah i've been keeping my fingers crossed that Klutsh finds a solution as i don't fancy using Jungle. I've also been pinning my hopes on the modification disc lately so heres hoping.

well the way I had to flash my lite-on drive was i used jungle flasher 1.51 to read my keys and erase my drive with it and it didn't lock up my computer but when I tried to write it locked up everytime and I don't understand why, so i just make a flash drive bootable with iprep and deleted everything in the flash drive execpt dosflash, dosflash.typ, then added l-o-eras.exe and my hack firmware lite_cfw.bin and loaded up my flash drive and followed CoFree tutorial for lite-on recover and it work like a charm. thanks cofree, if anyone figures out how to help me fix jungle flasher 1.51 from freezing when I click write I would glady appreciate it.

right now.

as thing become more final
i may go into it more.

but
i will say that it sucks that the easiest beginner friendly program for flashing the samsung,benq and lite-on
is having this trouble.

if we do lose this program for what ever reason
we will have lost a big part of the 360 modding scene

But what is a good alternative to flash lite-on's?

I hate JF, is the Modification disc good?

i tried 360 mod disc on a console that had been flashed with v1.51 and it did not work to flash over the v1.51
im goig to test
and so are some of the other guys and soon as we get a lite-on that has v1.5
which of course is what the 360 mod disc was made for.
