Ok..May have been answered somewhere else but I couldnt find it..If I already have a good copy of my original firmware, do I need to do the dBen step again when upgrading the firmware to 1.51 from 1.5?
To me, it seems like this is a unneccassary step, and that I should just go straight to the fBen step after I have created my bootable flash drive in IPrep with the latest definition file.
Can someone either confirm or set me straight?

Thanks

it's probably in your best interest to do the whole flash process, that "unnecessary step" isn't that much work. . . and like you said you have the original firmware so in the event that something does for whatever reason go wrong you have it, so you don't need to back up this updated flash. other than that you should be good to go.

As iamwatt said it's not that much extra work to redump it, if you do decide to go straight to the fben command you will have to inject the key from your previous backup into the firmware with jungle and copy it onto the stick so whichever you find easiest is the way to go.

you should
do the whole thing over
dump/flash
make sure after the dump to check the key
you want to know that it is the same as the one you have.
