if i use Iprep flash liteon drive, do i have to uninstall the VIA 6421A drive? Like using the JF?

na, the via card works perfectly with iPrep. the only thing is iPrep seems to be acting up with the new 1.51 firmware so you may have to use jungleflasher which we know for sure works or you can try using 360 modification disc v1.51 which works as well, i tried that out to day on a lite-on and it flashed the drive. . .

just a side note

iprep is only having trouble with the lite-on drive and the v1.51 firmware

but the 360 modification disc v1.51 doesn't support USB DRIVE RIGHT? because when my liteon drive connect to CK3 and i use USB to connect from CK3 to Desktop....

correct, it's still flashing through dos, sorta like iPrep so you'll need to hook it up via the com port just like in iPrep

Are people still having trouble flashing liteon's w/ iprep?

So i don't have to care about anything? just hook up VIA and the USB cable to the desktop.... and load the mod disc and follow the instruction then done?

however, i got one more question. if i used the DISC to flash the drive, then i won't have the backup file(Dummy, liquire, Key) right?

YEA, i think Iprep is good to flash 1.5, but not 1.51 on liteon drive~~some problem with 1.51 when you use Iprep. so i am going to use mod DISC to flash
