DVD-Key is invalid!

Post by BigNev44 »

Hi guys,

I am new to the site and i wanted to say thaks for the helpful tutorials,i have been watching them for the past 4 days and they renewed my interest into flashing my own drive,

I followed everything on Cofrees tutorial in flashing a Liteon with a probe, everything went fine until i got to ENSURE YOUR LITEON DRIVE IS ON AND CONNECTED TO COM4 (which was what my VIA card was under when i check hardware manager, i place and hold the probe on the correct hole and press enter but then i get DVD-Key is not invalid!
File not found - Key.bin
File not found
File not found - Dummy.bin
File not found

ERROR: File BACKUPS\1234567\12345\dummy.bin does not exist! Program aborted!

Mind you i bought this xbox already modded and i didnt get any files from the old firmware.

Please help!

if you are trying to update to the v1,51 with iprep
its not going to work
you need to get jungle flasher working or you can try the 360 mod disc v1.51
im working on this as we speak
and if all testing goes good ill be making some video guides for it soon.

do you have four serial ports on your computer?

also, make sure you have the 360 modification disc v1.51, that has the new ixtreme firmware in it

ok
go into just what you are dont
am i right that you are trying to flash a lite-on with a probe

things are being said that dont make scene

a com port is a 9 pin on the back of you pc.
i have never seen a pc with more than 2

if this is the first time dummoing that lite-on
you will have 3 cables hooked up

a sata for the flash
a power cable
and a com rs232 (male/female) or a usb if you have a ck3 pro

tell me what you have and what you aredoing
dont leave anything out

Sorry about the confusion Cofree,

I was doing it via iprep but the dvd key kept being invalid,it couldnt find the dummy file, etc

then i was doing jungleflasher but everytime i clicked on the exe for it,my PC froze and keeps freezing.

Then the modification disk was saying that the dvd-key was invalid but i found something,

I saw on your videos o how you were doing the disk tray half out,i was doing the same thing you were doing,i was doing it manually,i turned the ck3 on and pressed eject, then i pulled the disk back halfway with my hand when i should have let the drive do it and then turned the ck3 on while the tray was going back into the drive.

I did that and everything worked! i couldnt believe it!

But jungleflasher is still freezing on me,do you know why that happens?

I am going to do another liteon of mine and see if the same results happen,i will keep you updated.

I especially want to experiment on that modification disk.

I dont want to get too happy ad it doesnt work out, ;)

Thanks for the replys and help guys!

I read reports about the incompatibility between them both but i didt read about the freezing after clicking on the exe, i even uninstalled the drivers and took out the card and it didnt work.
