Lite-on DG-16D2S and Jungle flasher troubles

First my history of flashing I guess. I have did a TSH943A, a benq, and last night my first hitachi 79.

I just got a new xbox arcade today and it came with a DG-16D2S. From what I can tell there is no software only way of doing this? I hope I am wrong and if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I used iprep for the samsung, and jungle flasher for the benq and hitachi that I flashed.

I do have a strange problem with jungle flasher, the only version I can get the I/O of my drives to appear on is beta .26. On versions .43 and the new 1.51 it only shows one I/O. I have no idea why, I have the nforce sata on my motherboard and I've tried using the VIA6421 Card.

But I guess my main question as at the beginning is, is there a software only way?

If you mean without having to buy a ck3/maximus or homemade ttl and a probe or solder then nope. If it had been flashed with ixtreme before it's possible with jungleflasher but as it's a new drive your stuck mate. There have been some people having a problem with the newer version of Jungle even though the previous ones worked for them.

What about swapping out my old TSH943A, would that be possible, its currently flashed with ixtreme 1.51. Drive works fine the video card is dying though.

You'd still need the key off your new liteon to inject into it so the only way is to use a connectivity kit with a probe or solder the 707 points and dump the drive for the key (kinda defeats the object i know :) ).

No problem. Keep in mind that iprep has a problem with the 1.51 ixtreme and Jungleflasher tends to be buggy for a lot of people. Meh who wants an easy life...
