A British teenager has been ordered to serve at least 11 years in prison after murdering a fellow 16 year old as a result of an argument over an Xbox console. The murderer was confronted outside a house party over the alleged theft of an Xbox, he then hit the victim over the head with a can of lager and stabbed him in the back as the confronter tried to escape.

that's bugged! smh! people be tripping. . . he should of kept it moving and just copped a arcade, now he got a lot of time to spend in a walk-in closet sized room

Wow killing some over a xbox 360 um? Now the kid has a long life ahead of him in a closet. Um looks like he choose the wrong way to go.

Yes but he didn't stab him with the Xbox. Let's not overlook the fact that alcohol was involved. Here in my town a few years back two men got in a fight over ownership of a katana (japanese sword) and one man got his hand cut off with the blade. Now I can understand them saying the cause of this injury was due to a fight about the sword. But to call this teen the "Xbox Killer" isn't quite right. If he picked up the Xbox and smashed the other guys brains out, that would be a different story.

In the inner cities, it's a massive problem over here. Gang culture has a lot to answer for, but there's no easy way to address it. Guy might have been angry (I can't stand thieves, I would have broke his &*(^%ng fingers instead), but to stab a guy in the back is just plain old wrong, whether it's an xbox or gold bullion.

Well alcohol probably has a key role in this argument but personally I would never play xbox again for 11 years of my life,
and I am sure the confronter would have given him a lot more than just a xbox to live. The worst part is these screwed up parents that raised this kid are probably gonna find a way to blame everything else and the gaming industry for there inability to teach there kid the difference from right and wrong............ And really even if he didn't steal it when did it become worse to be called a thief than a killer?

I thought the killer would have been the guy who had the xbox stole from him??

i guess he really has no life....
