I had forgot that he had a v78 with a blaster v1 on it.

I most say it worked like a champ
I run the restore and then flashed with the new v1.51 firmware.

man
i like the crap out of the blaster
Im so damn tired of taking 360 apart

A metal opening tool, and a 6v electric (small) hand drill and you can take the 360 apart in about 45 seconds.

I dont trust the blaster, the less connections between the PC and the DVD drive, the less likely the failure.

Cofree, you are tired of taking the 360s apart but you are still soldering the 707 point!

I have debated on getting the 360 Blaster, but it really doesn't seem financially logical considering that there is only an update every 6 months or so... I would just rather take my 360 apart twice a year than pay $50 for something that eliminates 2 minutes of work.

If you want one, you can make one quite easily... Its quite simple, the hardest part is cutting your case, and/or having your xbox look nice after you finished...

People like the blaster because its encased, and easy to install. Once installed, your xbox still looks good.
