Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
I've been trying to dump a lite on key for the last couple of days with no luck. I cannot even manage to have my drive detected let alone read the key. I wonder if my CK3 is just a piece of manure. I'm thinking about giving the disc 1.52 a go.
I have a couple of questions:
Do you still need to bridge the r707?
The connection is plain sata cable right?

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
I'm using CK3 or I can use the 360's box itself (whichever is best). I guess the CK3 is more convenient.
BTW, i'm flashing this lite-on from scratch. It's never been modded....so would the mod disc still work?
Thanx man

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
Yeah But u would have to use the serial interface for DOS or USB for windows
Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
actually you shouldn't have any problem flashing the drive with the mod disc or i recommend iPrep especially if its the first flash. however if you go the route of using either of the two you will need to bridge that 707 point or use the probe and you will have to use the com port since you're working in dos. . . and it would be in you're best interest to use the ck3 to power the rive because you have to have the drive trat open while the dump and write takes place and the ck3 is easier at allowing that to happen.
be careful and try not to hop around from program to program, try to stick with one to aliviate confusion and the installing and unistaling of drivers and whatevers. . . i recommend iprep

Yeah I know what you mean. I did try with Iprep but it failed miserably. I couldn't get the key...At this point I'm not sure if my CK3 is defective or what the problem could be.
Anyway, my question is, do i need to bridge/probe the 707 with the moddification disc V.1.52 method still?
thanx

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
For those of you that have used this, how does it work exactly? Are there prompts telling you what to do or what?

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
Yes, it guides you through the whole process. You do have to know what port your drive is connected to the sata on and what com port is being used. The only thing that you might have trouble with is when to use the spear or probe if you don't have the R707 soldered.

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
Problem as in people who know what they're doing have issues so the program has a problem, or problem on the user's end? If it's a problem by the user, I may be ok. I'll have to try it in a couple weeks after I'm done with all these exams.

Re: 360 Modification Disc v1.52
It works by booting from the disk and basically you follow the instructions on the screen it gives you. Just before you do it put the cd in on windows and open it up and view the tut that shows you how to tell you what port your via card is. Its highly recommended to have one of those cards but if not its ok the other is an nForce.stick person wrote:For those of you that have used this, how does it work exactly?
