Lol, now all he needs to do is install a pump and some tubing, and when the oil gets hot enough he can pump it into a tub, and fry some fries. Nice!

I dont understand why you would do that, I guarantee his desk is always oily. If there is 1 tiny crack or spot that he didnt seal, the oil will just leak and his desk will always be oily.

There's actually a professional company that does exactly this. They custom build caes with inlet/outlet ports so the oil can be drained and refilled. The idea is kind of like liquid cooling, but instead you don't have to worry with water blocks and tubing. The oil is nonconductive and has a high flash point so there's no worry of fire or shorting anything out. And with basic fans you can keep your system up to 15% cooler than normal, even when overclocked.

The professional company that makes or made one, doesn't actually sell them. They used mineral oil instead of cooking oil, a plastic aquarium, with lamps, and a pump with a radiator. Sure it runs cooler than most PCs but that is where your benefit ends. Just imagine having to dry off components covered in baby oil. The oil doesn't evaporate so you would need a ton of absorbing towels on hand. They claim it runs quiet. But then attach a pump for oil and a radiator. When it is quiet (rarely) in my house I can barely hear the fans running. But I read where a PC modder put external switches on his fans so they didn't run continuously. Not something I would do, the fans can run on and on. If your fan is noisy then a few drops of 3-in-one oil will quiet it down. But in my opinion that is the most oil you should use on a PC.
