Do I have a bad via6421???

How do I tell if I have a bad card or if it is my computer or if I'm doing something stupid?
Using the JF 1.51 my PC won't see my hit 78fk.
I just flashed it 2 weeks ago without a hitch, but with toolbox 4.8.
I went as far as booting with Slax and it went right into mode B!
The portio32 won't see it, nor will it be seen in 'my computer'
I disabled and renamed viamraid.sys to .bak, and enabled 360 portio32 like on sadalius' tut.
Oh yeah, my PC is from 1998. Dell XPS. Should I just get a flux capacitor to bring my PC to the present or just get a newer one?

Try plugging in the sata connector when the Windows loading screen comes up and eject and close the tray a few times. This usually gets a hitachi drive, for me, to be seen by JF/Windows. If that doesn't work, ask a friend if you could try dumping his 360's drive if he doesn't mind. Then, if none of the above work, you can always try another computer. If you get the flux capacitor let me know

I would have thought if you got it into mode b and flashed it with FWT, then the sata card is fine...
I can see hitachi drives in JF, and can get them in mode b, but no matter what I try I can't get them to dump. IMO, if it ain't broke, don't fix it

It just has ver 1.4 fw. I can't get FW toolbox to see it either now. I think I did something trying to flash my cousin's.
He has a hit47. I checked the 59 dot on accident then hit flash and everything froze up. Hasn't been the same since.

That sounds a little suspect....
If the drive hung up halfway through the flash, it may be bricked. This is a problem the hits have, as all the commands related to dumping/flashing the drive are stored in the firmware. If the firmware is corrupt or not there, the drive won't operate. Unfortunately when this happens the only way to revive it is to desolder the flash chip and manually reprogram it with a willem adapter, which is not something many people do daily...
I had the exact same thing with a 47, luckily I got a good key from it first and was able to spoof an ms28 in. If you have a backup of your firmware from the first dump, then you can easily get the console working with a new drive.

It works when i boot using my flash drive but i have to unplug it before i boot back into windows. Is there anyway manual way to install the drivers ?

but you did jack the thread... post up a new question, you've got as much chance of someone seeing it....
in regards to 64 bit, you'll have problems using jungle flasher. Port IO32 doesn't install on 64 bit systems. I would recommend doing a dual boot with a small hdd and put xp32 on there. You won't have any compatibility issues with either the VIA or PortIO driver, and have a much higher chance of safely dumping/flashing any drive.
