Everything seemed cool, but when I powered this bad boy up to confirm my success the screen read open tray, but the disc tray wouldn't open. Weird stuff. I am now wondering if I made a mistake whilst spoofing it. And now it would appear that I am in need of some assistance.
So here's what I did:
I dumped the ms28 with Jungleflasher
loaded the iX 1.51 lite on firmware
Spoofed it.
Then I extracted the key from the Liteon
Said no when I was asked to auto-load iX1.51 for liteon
Loaded spoofed liteon firmware into target file on Firmware tool 32 tab
then I did Lite-on erase
Put into Vendor Mode
then I hit write.
it informed me that the firmware was spoofed, I told the computer it was all good
then I hit Outro/ata reset
and that's it....
damn... it just occured to me that I didn't replace the key on the spoofed firmware with the original Lite-on key.... I take it that's probably where I went wrong...
