I have just tried flashing my lite-on drive with JF 1.55, all went well got the key, inquiry, identify, dummy, lite_cfw, Ix15-liteon
all files present and saved. The key was check 6 times by JF all ok. Got right to the end part where switch drive on and off got status 0x72. then starting writing to bank 0 ok , then bank 1 and froze.
As I have all the files saved can I recover my drive????
When I switch on the ck3 now the drive will not open and lock windows.
I hope so.
Please someone help. where do i go from here?
Kind regards
Chris

Don't worry too much, this can usually be saved. You will have to open the drive manually. Once you get the drive into the correct position try and flash it again with the info gained from your first attempt. Actually now that you have that info you can build your CFW unless you already have and use iPrep. Just load your custom firmware into iPrep 8.8 and boot to your flash drive and flash your drive. Should work just like that. If you have any more problems don't hesitate to post up.

Hi ,
Just some further info, when I was using Jungle flasher, Under the MTK flash32 tab, I hit the lite-on erase button followed the screen messages until I got the status 0x72. then instead of hitting the erase button next between the read and write buttons at the bottom of the screen, I hit the write button, and that's were it locked up in writing bank 1
I watched the viseo with Cofree
http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?h ... a=N&tab=wv#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Showing how to make a dos flash and import my original files that i saved.
However when I boot into flash, and switch the ck3 on, it does not show up in dos flash, the drive will no longer open with the ck3 device. I have plugged it into to my via 6421 card and also tried my on board sata ports but it still does not show up.
Very pi---d off now,
Regards
Chris

this is the only way i know of to try a save that drive man.
but
you will have to use the master port on your sata card
that is the only port that iprep will index.

Make sure your using l-o-eras.exe XXXX where the x's are the port numbers of the sata port that the lite-on is attached to. You'll have to run it till you get FF72 status, then run dosflash and finish out like in the video.

if you cant get the ff72
after 2 or 3 times
power off the dvd drive (leaving it hooked up) then back on
and start over
