as for the software you'll need, windows xp or vista 32 bit. .net 2.0 or higher. Portio32 installed. And of course, jungleflasher. It would pay to have a connectivity kit of some kind to. An available sata port on preferably a VIA sata card, but most others will work on a hitachi as well.
The firmware you'll need to download from xbins. There is a guide on that as well if your not familiar with it. No need for am image burner, at least not until your ready to rip and burn your games anyway.

first i moved your post to the right spot
but
before you request something you need to read and look around the site a lot.
this board is full of information on flashing everything including the guide you wanted.

ok this is my situation. I messed up flashing my xbox 360 when it came time to load the source fiemware I accidently loaded the ixtreme firmware then spoofed that and finished the flashing, now the drive only says play dvd how do i fix this. I still have the ofw I tried the mod disc but that is for bricked drives, my drive once hooked up to the ck3 kit, I powere it on and the disc tray opens automatically but wont close when I press the button to close and I try to put it into mod b but jungle flasher says no drive detected any help fro many one thanks!

you are doing what is called hijacking a thread
you should have started your on thread
its all good man
just keep that in mind next time.
we need more info
what kind of dvd drive you have
how was you flashing it
go into detail about what you did and the programs and hardware you are using
try not to leave anything out
did you get a backup up of your firmware and/or the drive key
