I have a 79 drive that works fine and im trying to put that into my 360 with a dead m25 drive. Im trying to use JF to spoof but I cant figure out how to change the keys. I got it to report as a m25 but it didnt carry over the keys. I have both org firmwares saved off both drives. Is there an easier way to do this?

Load the original hitachi 70 firmware as the target. Notice the key location This is the spot where it says DVD Key @ make a note of this. Then load your samsung firmware as the source. Load the ixtreme 79 firmware that has the key location that is the same as the original 79 firmware. Then click spoof source to target. The click save to file and save it. There you have your hacked firmware and then you can flash it in with firmware toolbox.
An example on loading the 79 ixtreme firmware is like this. If your original 79 firmware shows the key location as being @ 4b00 then you would load ix151-79-4b00.bin as the target.

I hvae no clue what I did, but now my PC wont recognize the Hitachi drive anymore in either JF or FWTB. FWTB it doesnt show at all and when I try to flip it to mode B in JF, after the dots go I flip on the drive and it recognizes that the drive is flipped on but it comes up:
Drive, answers normal Windows Inquiry 12 0 0 0 24 0
0000: CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD - CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD ................
0010: CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD - CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD ................
0020: CD CD CD CD
I tried to flash it last night with what I thought was spoofed FW that I created using jungleflasher thinking that if it was wrong worst case I just reflash it because I have all the orginal fws but now it wont come up at all.
Any suggestions??

Ive been reading that if the drive doesnt eject or do anything that it is bricked, but mine ejects with the eject button and with the CK3 and like I said when I do the mode b in JF it recognizes that the drive is being turned on but it doesnt show up in JF or FWTB.
Is it bricked?

Ok... so you quoted the first part of the sentence.
Can anybody tell me is it bricked or not? Is there anyway to get this drive to read?
