hi. im new here

i allready have a flashed samsung drive. but not i cant play the newest games cause of some other new wave or somthing. anyway.

i was going to flash the drive myself. just to be extra save can i just buy a new samsung drive and experiment with it and if something goes wrong, just replug my original drive without flashing or replacing any serial number etc.

I'm not quite clear as to what your asking here. The reason your drive isn't'playing the new games is because it needs to be updated to ixtreme 1.51. You can replace your old drive, but you would have to dump the firmware of the replacement drive and insert the DVD key from your old drive in that firmware and if it's a different brand of drive, you would also have to spoof it so the new drive will report the same as the old drive. Then you would have to flash it with the new firmware and then it would work in that console.

For flashing in the iXtreme 1.51 i would use iPrep for a Samsung, and as for trying and messing with it like you're saying..don't exactly know what you mean, but for the drive to play games, you need the 32 character long drive key in the firmware.


If you watch the tutorials / read posts on flashing the samsung i'm sure you won't need to worry about messing up the drive.

I was hoping to have 2 drives. One for experimentation and my original one just in case I mess up wile flashing. I will wait a few more weeks then try to follow the tutorial about flashing it. I’ve already downloaded iprep and xbins.
