Hi there! First of all, a big thank you for the tutorials here. I was pulling my hair out trying to find one I could follow and your jungleflasher tutoria videol and PDF was awesome.

I successfully - and I say successfully because everything went according to the tutorial/no errors - flashed my GDR3120-78, but now it will ONLY play backups. It treats originals like they are DVD movies.

Is there a fix for this?

What I would do in this situation is to restore the drive. Then try it with originals. If they work then, go ahead with the flash with ixtreme.

Is there anything I should do differently on the second attempt, or is this just the nature of the beast?

Well to be honest, I've never seen that before. The only thing I can think of is something didn't go right with the flash.

Befre I reflash I wanted to run this by you: some guys in the jungleflash room suggested pot-tweak. I'm not familiar with it, but is it conceivable this is the issue? Or are they messing with me?

the only reason you would do a pot tweak is if it would not read any game orig or backup.also that is the last thing you do only if all else fails
you said it would play backup but not orig games
you need to keep in mind that it is harder for the dvd drive to read a backup than a orig.

that is a odd one there man

do what sadalius said and restore it to stoce and see if it will play a orig.
then if it will and you are up for it
try to reflash it.
