Hitachi 79"D" Jungle Flasher and IE 1.51

Post by Shootsteel »

Ok guys here it is and it's a bothersome one...I got and have written below all the intel I could, maybe someone can clear this up.

Conditions: I have in the past month flashed many 79's of all flavors with Jungleflasher and 1.51, I like it, I love it...but the past (3) 79D's I got in would not allow me to flash them with JF. I thought it might be an drive specific issue on the first one...posted up on the second one that did the same thing, but I failed to write down all that JF presented for peer review. I don't have any problems with any other drives except this one. Doctor please!
(previous trials were on modded drives)

Situation: Flashing a VIRGIN 79D with JF

Results:
Send mode B
Done!

79 Unlock audio cd
Done!

Dump Drive
Everything normal, Good Key (tried 5 times) Drive is stock.

Flash Iextreme
reports back as a 79D
Save Hit-ofw

Master checksum is set this is normal for a modded drive
Restore drive to stock first

Firmware type is Stock
Flash aborted

Set Checksum, Fix Checksum

Master Checksum is set this is normal for a modded drive.
Do you wish to continue? Yes

The current Checksum is incorrect, but is set to Master Checksum.
Continue and Flash checksum....yes

Flash Checksum Complete

Restore to stock
Master checksum is not set this is not normal for a modded drive
Drive is not likely Hacked.

Flash IX

Ixtreme file failed MD5 Hash check.

This I did over and over to the same end....an unmodded box

Sorry for the length but I was hoping that if I gave you guys everything...my merry men in common would figure this out.
The only thing I can put my finger on is maybe a bad file?

for some reason jungle does not think you have a real copy(or good copy) of the hacked firmware you are trying to flash in
trash all the "cfw" for the 79 dvd drive you have
go back to xbins and get a new ix v1.51 hit "cfw"

then try again

only trash your "79 ixtreme CFW"
dont trash any thing else man
