I have been flashing drives for a while an spoofing but I have never had to do a Samsung to a Samsung drive. Is there anyway to do this with iprep? I tried doing this

dump the orignial firmware and key

took the SamOFW.bin and renamed it to SamCFW.bin
dragged it to my backup folder then proceeded to flash that to the new drive. This did not work. Does anyone know a better way of doing this?

Thanks for all you time.

Wes

Okay let me see if I got this right

All I have to do is use iprep dump orignial drives firmware, unplug and hook up new ms25 drive, boot back into iprep then complete the flash onto the new drive?

Is that right?

I hope so that would be supper easier then what I was trying to do.

Please Sad if you are around I know you that man give me some knowledge lol

that is all you need to do
dump your orig dvd drive
after firmtool runs and builds your hacked firmware "cfw"
then power down and plug in your other dvd drive and flash

as long as you are using the same model dvd drive
you should be good to go.

If your using a connectivity kit there is no reason to reboot, after running dsam and it completes, just cut the power to the drive, unhook the old drive from your computer then hook up new drive and run fsam....your good to go
