well man
if you are using iprep and its locking up your pc when you power it up after booting in dos
about the only thing it can be is the dvd drive

go into detail about what you are doing and when you are doing what. ;)

im going to try a diffrent card today see if that fixes it. there really isnt much to it.
when i turn the 360 on be it in dos or windows as soon as i do it freezes the pc. if i turn the pc and 360 on at the same time the pc wont go past the splash screen..

Check if your via card is inserted right and all the way. I would remove the VIA card, Take a brief look to see its condition put it back in MAKING SURE THAT IT IS CORRECTLY IN PLACE and plug the sata cable is in firmly and try try again good luck ;)

My MS25 locks up my computer at the bio's loading screen when i try to reboot it into the iPrep boot disk.
The way i get around it is to start iprep with the Connectivity kit turned off.
Then after iPrep is fully started I power the Connectivity Kit on and it bypasses the lockups.
Maybe try starting the app/iprep before you power the connectivity kit on?

It still sometimes hangs but that lasts like 10 seconds max. Usually, if any, less than a second.
My computer also seems picky and tries to lockup when i try to dump the FW more than once per iPrep launch.
I just have to start iprep again to fix that.

keep in mind man
that you dont hook any thing up to the computer till after you have booted all the way in dos and are at the iprep start screen.
then you hook up your sata and power on the dvd drive.
no before.
