Making your own speed firmware. (Benq/Samsung)

Post by technoe »

WARNING THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED XBOX LIVE SAFE DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

This is a simple guide for changing the speed of your BenQ or Samsung firmware.

FIrst you need this program.
Hb-Released BHS Speed Changer.rar
Now just make a copy of the firmware you wish to change and save it accordingly. Ex: ix-151-benq.bin would be
ix-151-8x-benq.bin. You can name it whatever you like, I just use this method to keep things in line.

Extract the rar file to a folder, so that the dll file and the executable are in the same folder. Open the program

You should see this:

Now select "Open". And select the firmware you want to change. This works for iXtreme versions 1.51 and 1.5 currently only on the BenQ and Samsung drives. I'm working on the lite-on's but there a little more particular.

Now press the speed you wish to change and voila!! It is done. It will not make a copy, It will edit the file you select which I why I suggest you make a copy first. Once I finish my work with the lite-on's I'll post another tutorial for those. If you have any questions feel free to post up under Drive Flashing in the 360 forum area.
