You shouldn't need to manually set the layer break with img burn. Open imgburn and click write image file to disk. Drag and drop the .dvd file onto imgburn and it should take care of the rest.

Buy Verbatim DVD+R DL 8x Look closely on the package and make sure they are Made In Singapore 2.4x are usually MII made in india, and are lower quality. Burn at 2.4x speed in img burn. Have you looked over CoFree's tutorial for burning a game? It lists the settings I believe. The tutorial is in the tutorial > Text > Other category on the forum. (I would grab you a link for it but I am on my iPod.)

That's really weird, because the .dvd file should contain the info for the layer break and the where the game is stored. I would check your .dvd files to make sure that they are good. It should contain two lines.

Layerbreak=1913760
Game.iso

The game ISO and the .dvd file must be named exactly the same thing

make sure that you have the latest version of imgburn. And like technoe says, open your .dvd files with notepad. There should be two lines of text. One that gives the layer break and the other is the name of your iso. If you don't use the .dvd file, then yes you would need to set the layer break manually. But if you do like I said and drag and drop the .DVD file onto imgburn, you won't have to set the layer break period.

I was using image burn at first for about 1 month, Sometimes Id get buffer problems and bad backups so I tryed Cookies xbox360 game burner and for me its very easy to use, I know image burn is too but all you do with cookies is put disc in and burn image, You dont have to change anything or add in layer break, Like I said I know image burn is easy but this seems to burn alot better for me, Maybee worth a try.

Did you try a new DL Disk?
According to This forum on imgburn.com "the drive is failing to write to the media."
Also try checking the game iso with ABGx360.
check the box "Check/Create .dvd file" in options tab.

Yeah I do all that everytime, All goes well most times but the odd time its saying an I/O problem but I was presuming that me HD was running outa space for that, But when the buffers fail and recover in Imageburn Im not sure why it does that. Its maybee the discs whereas I get 7 out of every pack of 10 that work.

the buffers tend to fail and recover if you have a lot going on, if that's the case it's in you're best interest to burn the game and not having any programs running just imgburn. . .
