hi guys just something to throw at you went to flash a liteon drive done lots before now but this time put the xtractor lead in upside down was gutted blew the xtractor but for some reason the drive survived tried it back in the 360 and works fine still playing games so waited for my new xtractor to arrive went to flash the same liteon drive but for some reason it will not dump the keys tried everything to dump keys with this liteon but no way . have flashed 3 other drives while trying to do this one with no problems so what im saying is when i blew the xtractor on this drive its done something that stops you dumping the keys now wouldnt ms like to know how to do that would like to flash this drive can anybody help me thanks gazzer

maybe your new xtractor is dodgy have u tried it on any other drives yet

It's got to be the drive if you've used that extractor on other lite-on drives. You could try the soldering trick to see if it will dump like that.

I did the same thing blew the extractor, drive and spear all in one fell swoop. Glad I had xtras of everything. Prob need new spear.

From what I understand, the xtractor has some sort of fuse on it or something that if you plug it in upside down, it blows. You have to unsolder it and replace it from what I've heard or it won't dump. A friend of mine that has an extractor told me this, I don't have any personal experience with the xtractor myself.

alright guys been away working for a few days had a look at all the suggestions put forward and have tried all these things to dump the keys have done another liteon tonight with my new xtractor with no problems so it has to be the drive must of damaged something on the pcb when i blew the xtractor while connected to the drive anyway i think the best thing to do is to sell the console to someone that doesent want a flashed drive and stop giving myself an headache thanks to everyone thats posted keep up the great work
