iprep 8.8 invalid firmware

i wanted to update my benq from a 1.5 to 1.5. i downloaded iprep8.8. when i try to upload the firmware i keep on getting INVALID FIRMWARE i have tried downloading the firmware from different website and i still get the same problem. can someone tell me what am i doing wrong?

Are you using xbins to download from? Best site accurate information

You must have the newest def file. It's a definition file for iPrep that allows the latest firmwares to be used, you can get that from xbins or here Just extract this into the iPrep directory with the current def file, you can choose to overwrite if you wish, which is what I would do.

As technoe said the file needs to be placed here : C:\Program Files\iPrep\Resources or alternatively get the new 8.9 iprep and problem solved.

you dont need it man
but if you dont have it you should reboot in windows and save a copy of the backup folder before you flash.
