spoofed a hit to sam how do i get it back to a hit i have tried to restore in j/f get it into mode b but when i press restore pc locks up when im in j/f it shows up as samsung do i need it to show as a hit and if so how do i do it thanks

What are you trying to accomplish? Was you just playing around to see if you could spoof it or is there a purpose behind the spoofing? If we knew that then we could give you some advice.

it was a drive someone gave me so i thought give it a go to test it but i only used 1.4 so i want to go up to 1.51 for new games but the tut i looked at say i need to take it back to stock is that right and if not do i just use j/f to flash it as a hit even though its spoofed as a sam thanks

Have you disabled your via drivers?
Are you using a CK3?
Did you use JF to send mode b?
Have you flashed on this computer before?

as long as you are talking about putting a hit dvd drive in a console that orig had a samsung dvd drive
in it
then yes.all hit dvd drives have to be flashed back to orig before you can update the firmware in it.

you need to keep in mind that the spoof dont matter except to the console
the "spoof" is just a small amout of data that goes in the firmware to trick the sam console into think the hit drive is a samsung.

all drive have to be flashed there way
