trying to install sp1 can install but then i loose my internet connection so i then need to uninstall it to get my connection back any help thanks

yes you can but eventually M$ will push it on you one way or another. I've never installed service pack 1 I've always just slipstreamed it into my recovery disk.

If your losing internet, it sounds like your missing network drivers.
