Ok guys here is a puzzler, to me anyways.

I have a dedicated not hooked to the internet dell with via card flashing flashing workstation that I use for sammys and Benq's...well yesterday I go to flash a benQ...no Joy...It can't identify the flash chip...???...ok try again....no joy....I reach uder the counter and grab another ben...same result...grab 3 more...no dice...grab a sammy....good to go no problems flashed, works, plays backups. Ok I install my new back up identical via card, new sata, new ck3, new everything...same computer. It will flash sammys now but not Benq's. I can not even count how many Benq's this computer has flashed....What up with this situation any ideas? Very interesting.

I had this problem with the 360 MOD Cd. It would only see Samsungs, it wouldn't see any other drive. I had to power down my PC completely, power on the drive have the benq already halfway out, turn on pc and boot to cd. Even doing that it was a 50/50 shot to get it to connect.

Sorry about the omission I use iPrep for the sammy and Ben's....like I said has worked, for 100's of drives now all of a sudden no more benq. I just dont get it...I have had to change computers before just not for this reason...was wondering if anyone might have had a similar experience.

Well I am not so sure that why the iPrep computer went down in the first place but what I did to fix her was take out the via card put in another in a different slot install it then take the new one back out and put the old one back in it's original slot and then install that one....viola she's humming right along now. It was perplexing why it stopped seeing the Benq's in the first place as it's just a dedicated do nothing but flash computer, no internet hooked up, workhorse. I have had one go down after a power irregularity prior to this. Easily solved though as it was obvious. This was a new "condition" that I have not run into before, a fidgety via... :D :D :D
