Lite on drive Help

Have a question i have a lite on drive that i want to read/flash i have the ck3 but no probe if i solder R707 & R708 jumpers will i still need the probe or by doing that will it let me read the drive any help would be great thanks again.......Int03h

All you need to do is short the pads at R707, whether you do that with solder or just a flat head screwdriver is up to you. I have an old hook style multimeter lead that I bent out, that Fits between the pads perfectly.

k ill try the flat head way so i just do R707 pads only. witch how to is the best one to fallow.

Not sure what iam doing wrong did step by step as cofree video not sure if the comport is right one is there a way to check and see what one i need to pick in the iprep window it has 4 of them i picked 3 and when i do the dlit******* **** it keeps error out no connection anyone ever have this problem and can lead me in the right direction.......Int03h

you need to have the cam cable on the com 1 port
that is a rs232 9pin com cable you are using right.
and the sata cable is hooked up

is there a tutorial about either soldering or shorting the ports on lite-on drive?

did you solder thr 707 point
if not try that
or pick up a probe

As above, but if you don't feel confident soldering or bridging, diy probes are a doddle to make:

This drive is kicking my a** i still cant get jungle to reconise the drive for me to read it i built the homemade probe as dalecheesy posted but still cant get crap not sure if my pc is setup right i just cant get it to do anything i can flash any other drive but the liteon some plz shoot me lol thanks guys for any help.

Go into your bios and make sure that your com ports are set to auto, should be as they're discoverable in jungleflasher but its worth a check.
Check that it doesn't look like this
Also have you got the drive tray half shut with the probe attached before pressing enter after the Dlit 1234567 12345 command?

Just checked all them and there good also i made sure i inserted the probe and tray half open not sure what is going on i might have to dump this drive and start from scratch or something lol..........Int03h

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info everyone gave and thank you to dalecheesy for the info on the probe it worked like a charm once i hgot the new HD booted up not sure what is wrong with my orig drive this is what i had to do to get it to read the liteon. Took a 20gig HD and loaded xp on it and just put all my 360 progys on it and loaded up jungle and damn i got it find the liteon drive follow cofree video on how to flash the liteon and the gave the probe a try and it worked damn almost a week and there it was so now if i want to flash a drive i just boot up on the backup HD easy just wanted to thank you guys for all the good info here luv this place.........Int03h
